I've noticed there are a lot of 2 1/2" and 4 1/2" squares in this project. To cut my squares I found that it was much easier if I used Omnigrid squares like the one pictured here. For example, I cut a 2 1/2" strip like usual, then I use the little square to cut a perfect square without having to do anything but line it up on three sides.These are available at most all craft shops. I recommend going to Joann or Hobby Lobby and using a 40% off coupon! (You can always find the Hobby Lobby coupons on their website. And you can find the Joann coupons by googling for them).
